Friends of the Maasai

As a sign of great appreciation for what Faith Supeet, founder and chairwoman of the local Maasai CBO Becul, is doing for her community the board of directors of Friends of the Maasai called her a real SDG leader in a special meeting during her stay in the Netherlands in May.
SDG stands for the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. These goals belong to a worldwide program to make the world a better place in 2030. No poverty and hunger, good health and education, equality, clean water and combatting climate change are some of the 17 global goals.
Faith stands for all these ambitions on behalf of the Maasai community. Because of her inspiring local leadership the chairman of Friends of the Maasai was pinning the SDG logo on her beautiful Maasai dress. This pin is a sign of great respect and appreciation. By wearing and showing the pin everyone who sees this can relate to these goals and can follow the inspiring example of Faith.
